Early stage browning / tissue loss in goniastra/ closed brain?

Hi all, wondering if anyone has any ideas what might cause this. The coral has been otherwise super healthy and feeding well, with noticeable growth. All params are within normal ranges. This was the best photo I could take to illustrate - the patches look much more brown in real life - and there seems to be some tissue damage in these areas.

The only thing that's changed was replacing the GAC with more than usual - but I don't think that could cause it? My only other (long shot) idea was that perhaps nitrates could be too low due to ATS + carbon dosing.

Also I moved him to a much brighter spot over a month ago - I have turned the lights down to 70% as worried this might be due to sunburn
