EARS meeting?

I was able to run by Valley yesterday and everything is looking good! I'm looking forward to seeing everything established and compleatly set up!

I was not able to get by aqua escapes before they closed.

Yesterday was a failry crazy day. We had to be at JSU at 11 for my brothers scholorship audition for band. Then we spent the entire day looking at apartments. We found one we love and plan on trying to move into it when I get my house sold.

As far as "club orginization" I think we should follow the K.I.S.S method. ("Keep It Simple Stupid") I personally like the way NARC is doing things. Informal meetings with traditionaly good attendance. Every now and then there is a lean month but some months there are 50 in attendance. Just someone doing a quick 5min demo is all we need. In all honesty if it is TOO technical and TOO long I start loosing interest.

I like having monthly meetings. I cant always make it to all of NARCs meetings due to work BUT there is always next month. If I have to miss a meeting on the quarterly system It will be six months until I could attend another meeting. Just my .02

As far as mempership goes, I think the K.I.S.S method should be applied here as well. If you show up to meetings, your in. If you don't attend meeting you are still in you just don't get to hang out with the rest of us.

Anyone agree? disagree? indifferent? Any other Ideas?

If someone could check with aqua let us know.

I like it Riner and I like monthly. There's no way with my schedule I can make all of them. Between work, cows and 2 poultry houses, and ball games......................... I totally agree, K.I.S.S.

I second the check with aqua and let Valley have time to get settled.

Just an update for Valley you guys..
Today Joey came by and got the Pendents up for two of the systems, I will have to build a T5 retrokit for the bottom 100gallon in the 250gallon system.

The 250gallon coral system is up and running, It consists of the 2 100gallon oceanic tanks from the old store and a 70gallon sump!
I am thinking with that much water volume everything will stay nice and stable for the corals!

Despite the storms today, everything is working out... The back room is now a bit more cleaned up, and we are working on getting more systems up and running!

Kathy did get a shipment in this week, small.... loads of Halloween hermits! they look so cool!

so we did get a bit in to restock, but nothing major yet!

Still LOTS of work to be done, but its comming along..

ALSO! Kathy is still quite ill, she is not comming in at all, and I dont know that she will be there monday either... she needs to rest, so for now its up to the empolyees and helping hands to get things accomplished...

She is eager to have it completed and If I know her eager and willing to host.

Ill keep everyone updated on our progress!

i have mentioned having monthly meetings for that reason because if someone couldnt make it to one then they could at least make it to the next month...but i was told quarterly is better because monthly is to hecktic...i like monthly just get together to hang out, swap and whatever....

i think the reason EARS died out the frist time was because of the meeting frequency or lack there of....at the meetings there doesnt have to be a demonstration every time because that would get hard but randomly or every 3rd or 4th meeting

aqua pets is the place in saks...i really like that guy...not the most knowledge or the cleaniest store but he will always work a deal with you and it is just him and his wife running the store bad thing about the store though it is not big enough to hold a meeting of 15-20+ people

hey all i went by aqua escapes today and talked to the lady and she said she would me more than happy to host...she was having a coral sale today some nice zoas and if i didnt spend $200 earlier this week on some frags from 2 different people on SWF i would have bought some but i had to stay deciplined and just buy the fish food and phyto i went in there to get....she also said that the last time she hosted no one showed so lets try not to do that to her again...i told her the 26th was the tenative date cuz i couldnt remember

okay i went by AE today and talked to tammy. she said the 26th would be fine and 2 or 3 would be fine. someone just needs to let her know asap. she also said we could do a frag swap if yall wanted 2. someone needs talk to her so she can make a flier to put up on the door so we can try to get more people to atend. she needs to know what needs to be put on the flier. i dont know want needs to be put on it. so can someone help out with that?
