EB8's not reading Amps.

I'm That Guy!!
Today I installed and setup my new Apex Controller. I installed the normal setup, and also setup a second EB8 for extra control. Everything was going great until I turned everything on and realized that the AMPS are not reading on either EB8.

I have calibrated the eb8's using telnet and still and receiving a 0 on both boxes.

I have tried everything I can think of and also looked on several forums to no avail.

Everything else is working flawlessly except this issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

If you just set this up today, check it again in the morning.

Just looked at it again and the same thing both are still 0. Graphs show a flat line since install.

Is your Apex firmware up to date? Did you also update the www files when you did the firmware update?? This step is important because the web interface will not match the firmware version. Have you updated the firmware on the EB8's? Using the native web interface (not fusion), go to configuration/modules. Select the EB8 from the pull down tab. Select update firmware and click submit. This can also be done via the display but I don't recall where it is. Lastly is the boot loader update which is done through the display. As a side note, after updating the firmware, wait at least 1 hour before updating the modules so all the tables in the Apex update themselves.

When you calibrated your EB8, did you disconnect all your powered devices from it so nothing was drawing any power? If you don't, the EB8 will not calibrate properly. If all else fails, post your issue here:

There's no need to wait an hour, or even wait 60 seconds... the module data is dynamically obtained whenever the Module Setup page is loaded.

Interesting... I had an issue several months back (maybe a bit more) when I updated my modules immediately after updating my Apex. One of my EB8's became corrupt in the process. Neptune Support (Victor if memory serves me) remoted in and resolved the issue but then advised me to wait at least 1 hour after updating the base unit before updating my modules so that tables or something to that effect can have time to update. While it sounded odd to me, that was what I was told and have since followed that rule and passed that info on. In my case, I have 15 or more modules connected to my Apex so the possibility for an update issue in my 5 or 6 years of ownership isn't out of the realm of possibility but that's what I was told so I was just passing it on.
