eBay Live rock?

I was looking on eBay for liverock and found Sea Trade Marine. They have walt smith premium fiji for $1.50/lb with free shipping. Has anyone ever heard of or dealt with this dealer?

i bought rock from e bay and it was crap, unless you dont have a good lfs to pick and choose from then go ahead, good luck and if it smells like rooten tuna dont put it in(thats what i was told).

This is advertised as pre-cured and would need an additional 2wks of curing before placing in tank. My setup will be new and I figured that this would help kickstart my cycle.

I know of a few that hanve purchased from ebay that was walt smith brand for cheap but cannot remember the sellers name. FWIW they were happy with what they got but as said it will need to be cured.

Just looked over the thread and realized a very significant typo... the rock I was referring to was $3.50/lb. I posted it as $1.50/lb. A careless keystroke on my part. I am sorry to disapoint.

Check Craigslist before you go ebay. I've gotten great cured rock on there for $3 - $4 a pound. Plus no shipping charge.

Just go to www.craigslist.com If this is the first time visiting, setup the city or area that you are located. I bought a very nice drilled 75 gallon from Craigslist about 2 month ago - look around, be patient - you might find a great deal!!!

Depend on whether it is the actual weight or the total weight. Most of them are the total which includes the box and all

It sounds too good to be true...I hope it isn't. I would have everything ready for curing it.
Good luck and keep us posted.
:)

I purchased ALL my rock from Seatrademarine yesterday. We actually took a ride down there and had an outstanding experience.

I am a total newbie, so I can't say HOW good the rock is that we bought, but it is full of colors and smells fresh and clean.
