are you nuts? just because you ask the price does not ever mean you cannot afford it.. that is crazy... when buying anything, always ask the price, then you have something to compare// and if you cannot afford it now, you can save for it..

that sound like class warfare

make up your mind...you say no flame intended then you say "BUT" ???

anyway I retract this statement since I ask prices all the time :o

my bad :)

and this rant about internet selling.. well, it would not be hard to say that the statement was a cut-down of those who sell online..

tell me, who sells more QUALITY lfs or the internet?

thus, why should i go to a LFS over a qualility online company

have a great day........

I never ranted about closing someone down...you must be talking about some other post or something because for the life of me I can't see anywhere in MY post that even comes close to using any of those words except for " I , and. is, it , the" etc...

don't put words in my mouth plz thx.

Well my LFS just happens to be the only place I would ever consider buying any livestock for my tanks...period.

why? How can his be? LFSs are EVIL! oh my god LOL INTERNETS

Come to Austin and I will take you to the best LFS I have ever been in so you can see for yourself...maybe in GA they have ****ty LFSs...guess I am lucky since I have available to me the best LFS IMHO :)

Sorry Roger, I did not intend to crap this thread...I just felt it necessary to defend my statements.

Can't we all just get along?

For what it's worth I paid $209 for my 7095 controller and got it a lot faster than waiting at PA or MD where I was 15th in line. I'll gladly pay $7 more to have the item in hand an know that If anything happens to it I can simply take it in and get a new one.

However.......For the most part I buy ALL of my drygoods online unless the shipping does not justify it. I just can't stomach paying %50-%100 more for the same item. But in the case of Tunze products I have found that the prices have been very competitive and in the case of the Stream rock (at my lfs) it was actually cheaper. I think this is very smart on the part of Tunze.

I understand the dilema and can see both sides of the story.

Just my .02 :)
