Ebli Angel picking at plate?

Came home and my Angel was seen biting my Orange fungia plate. Now the plate is in bad shape. I dont know if the plate was dying and the Angel was just taking advantage or the Angel caused the Rapid decline. I do know the plate was in fine shape last night as I hand fed it some squid. I have had the plate for 2 years. I will get a pic after dinner, I would like to know if I can frag the good part or if its a lost cause. Anyone have any Angels do this before?

They are a "with caution" dwarf species angle. I really like them, but they can be a tid bit nippy as most dwarf angles are.

I had a lot of succes with coral beauties.
