hi all just received my little frag of ice fire whats the best way to look after it its acclimitising now ?? any help will be gratefull as i went to the end of the world and back to get this lol
thanks carl

I acclimated mine really slow to the light... started about 1/2 way up in the tank in a shaded area and took me about 3 weeks to move it to the top HIGH light HIGH flow... once at the top the tips colored up nicely its now encrusted and growing... I noticed it grows slower under high flow but the color is so nice I dont want to move it

This is a coral that really likes dim light, I have it very low in my tank. I would move it up slowly or just keep it at least 12 inches under water. My colony is 24 inches under 400 watt 20 k.

I agree with toothman. This is a low light loving coral. Also I would go a step further and say if you really like this coral to grow straight up and not in a bush then give it low flow. Just my observations.

Where'd you find one ? I have been looking lately and they seem on the rare side.

thanks for the comments its on my sand bed at the moment getting use to my light conditions how long should i leave it there ??

thought I would share, I have two small frags from two different sources. One is low with high flow and the other is way on the side, low light and low flow. Got them at different times so size is different as well.

just moved it up in the tank about 4 inches the branches are turning more blue now so fingers crossed where shall i place it for its final resting place ??

I just bought a colony of this coral and I thought it needed high lighting. So I've put it right under a 400w mh and it burned the tips.

Guess I'll better put it somewhere low.

update its still going good getting some good blue colouration back into the branches poylps are out good sign, still not really white in the branches but its getting there should i move it a tad higher or leave be ??
