hi all just received my little frag of ice fire whats the best way to look after it its acclimitising now ?? any help will be gratefull as i went to the end of the world and back to get this lol
thanks carl
I acclimated mine really slow to the light... started about 1/2 way up in the tank in a shaded area and took me about 3 weeks to move it to the top HIGH light HIGH flow... once at the top the tips colored up nicely its now encrusted and growing... I noticed it grows slower under high flow but the color is so nice I dont want to move it
This is a coral that really likes dim light, I have it very low in my tank. I would move it up slowly or just keep it at least 12 inches under water. My colony is 24 inches under 400 watt 20 k.
I agree with toothman. This is a low light loving coral. Also I would go a step further and say if you really like this coral to grow straight up and not in a bush then give it low flow. Just my observations.
