Thinking of going from a current4x54 nova extreme to 2 ecoray 60d modules on a standard 55 gallon tank. Would two units be enough? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, those should be sufficient. Just make sure you have some room in the event you need to move them away from the water surface to get the correct spread. They tend to have narrow spread, but you can likely grow SPS on the bottom of the tank with these.

I have 3 of the 112s. It's basically the same bulb and lens setup, but mine just simply has more of them.

I have gotten very positive results from most of my corals with these.

Thanks Ryan, they would sit roughly 6 to 8 inches above water level. So what size tank are your 3 112' s on? Did you get any light shock on your corals.

They are a very narrow beam of light for sure. They are really designed for deep tanks and probably will need to be mounted about 10" or so to avoid shadowing.

180 gallons. 5' x 30" tall.

None that I could tell. I actually think there was an immediate improvement.
This could be based on my previous lighting system.

I would have assumed that there would have been some shock, but I didn't see any and I didn't gradually increase my photo-period either.
