• Creating gyres has never been easier by pairing master and slave pumps visually in ESL
• Create, preview, and save waves for your VorTechs
• Recall various saved waves or initiate VorTech Feed Mode with the click of a button
• Fine tuning control of VorTech feed mode, night mode, and battery backup mode
• Manage your Radions and VorTechs using the redesigned, easy-to-use Device Manager.

But there is even more. Import a DropCam® streaming webcam into your ESL profile and now you can view your aquarium from anywhere in the world at any time. Want to show your friends your Gem Tang surfing the waves provided by your VorTech? Just take out your iPhone, open our ESL App, demo a VorTech wave and watch the fun from your seat at dinner.

This major ESL update will be released today as a beta with limited slots available. If you don’t get in to the beta program initially, don’t worry! The slots available will be increasing regularly so keep checking! To get started using the most comprehensive release of ESL to date, simply log into www.ecosmartlive.com and check the “Participate in Beta Releases” checkbox from Settings > Manage Account. That’s it!

There’s never a bad time to start using EcoTech Marine products: as we've proven over the last 10 years, our commitment to backward compatibility means that we reward our customers for their commitment to our brand. But this is all still just the beginning. In the future, EcoTech Marine will be introducing even more capacity for this absolutely limitless web-based aquarium platform.

Welcome to the future of Reefkeeping. Welcome to ESL.

This is fantastic news and I'm giving the beta ESL a test run right now.

The feed mode works great and both of MP 40's are running according to the schedule I setup in the iOs app a few weeks ago.

Now it's time to test the ESL program out.

Thanks again to the amazing Ecotech Team for creating this outstanding application.

Will opting for participation force you to reprogram your lights and pumps or does your current configuration and program carry over?

When I opted in last night, my Vortech pumps schedules carried over into the Beta ESL.

The schedule were working fine, until I went into the ESL program to change my schedules, which the schedules were saved into the ESL program, but as Beta testing goes, it's not following the assigned schedule I programmed in.

I have a very basic schedule from Reef Crest mode then into Constant Mode which I have scheduled for 10 pm through 8 am and when I woke up this morning, my Vortech's were on Reef Crest mode. Either I did something wrong when programming my pump schedules or there's a little program glitch in the Beta ESL program, which is expected anyway.

I have the weekend coming up to really give the Beta ESL program a comprehensive testing and I'll write down my notes and send them in for Ecotech programmers to look over.

I can say the device and settings areas of the ESL program work just fine along with the feed mode. It just seems the scheduling area of the ESL program needs some tweaking.

All in all the ESL program is excellent and if a short video tutorial could be produced then posted on the Ecotech website just on the schedule portion of the Beta ESL program, showing us all the in and out's of programming our schedules, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Randy

That is a great question. You are not required to reprogram your Radions or VorTechs with the beta site. In fact, if you are happy with your profile and want to "set it and forget it", then you don't need to do anything.

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it. We are aware of issues with Radion and VorTech scheduling, which we are currently working on. Please record your feedback over the weekend and post here if you like. That way we can all stay informed.

Just signed up. Playing with it at work so I'm not connected but I don't see any vortech controls. Do you have to have reeflink for this to work?

You can use the Connection Manager with the beta to control your Radions, however VorTech control does require a ReefLink.

also the demo modes for the radion control as far as the lightning cloud cover and demo mode is only setting the preview to one of my lights the sliders are working on all three

** It is important to note that in order to control your VorTech pumps via ESL, you need to have a ReefLink installed. **

For those hobbyists located here in the US, many of our Authorized Retailers are running a promotion this month where if you purchase any EcoTech VorTech/Radion, the Reeflink is $99 (50% off)!

Just to clarify, I don't want to monitor/change the vortechs while they are running I just would like to set them up to run certain modes for a specified time each day. That still requires the reef link?

Thanks!

I am excited and also disappointed.

I am excited to hear the feature of controlling vortech via reeflink on ESL.

I am disappointed because you don't provide the instructions on how to setup vortech on ESL.

I do not have radion. I have reeflink (firmware 1.7.42) and vortech MP10w. I successfully sign up with the beta program. The beta site asks me to setup the aquarium, then I see "please wait attempting to find devices" then an error message: cannot find radion. The site keeps searching for radion forever then the error message shows up all the time.

- How can I pair reeflink with vortech?
- Do I need to upgrade firmware of MP10w?

I tried to join the Beta testing, but when I log into EcoSmartLive.com, I dont see "Participate in Beta Releases" Option, do I have to connect my PC to my radions in order to control the Vortech pumps?

Anyone know what the legacy vortech option is?

That is a great question. The legacy VorTech option allows you to update your existing VorTech pumps to prepare them for EcoSmart Live. All wireless model pumps must be upgraded through a ReefLink prior to discovering and using them on EcoSmart Live.

All existing VorTech pumps must be upgraded through a ReefLink before they can be discovered and used in EcoSmart Live. We will take a look first thing in the morning to see if there is a potential issue with a profile that has VorTechs only. Stay tuned...
