Guys,

Just installed the connection manager...... installs and states errors.

When I launch it appears in the dock for a second then goes away.... no icon on top or anything. Tried reinstalling Java etc

Read of some other people with the issue but no one comments on how to resolve!

Any help!!! PLEASE! :D

Does anyone remember what they did though?

In the UK here lol so calling America etc something I would prefer to avoid.

I was hoping someone could remember what they did? I have tried reinstalling JAVA but that had no effect.

Thankyou.

I have no problem with getting onto Ecosmarts website. Its the Communication Manager which will not load i.e. the small icon on the top won't appear :(

What are the specs on your Mac? If you are running an older Mac, it could be a 32 versus 64 bit issue. I should be able to get you fixed up today.

Shaun,

Got your PM however cannot reply as it does not allow it.

Do you have a email you can PM me and ill send you the details.

Thanks.

Same exact issue here...

Installation generates errors...

Connection manager will install, but when run, it just sits on the dock. No connectivity indication, no status icon, no connectivity shown in EcoSmart Live.

MacBook Pro
15-inch Mod 2012 (2.6 I& with 8GB)
OS X 10.9.1 (12B42)

When I log into ESL, using my older MacBook, I go to spotlight tool (upper right) and type in "ecosmart" . Then I click on the EcoSmartliveConnectionManger in Applications.
This starts the connection manager for me.
The little icon shows up with a green check mark at the top of the screen.
Got to be hooked up with the usb cable at the same time.

BeanAnimal,

Do you have any other USB devices connected to the computer? If so, I would recommend disconnecting them and attempting to re-download the Connection Manager.

No other USB devices...

It is not my laptop, it is the Warden's and she has already frowned upon my use of it. You see I only own the IT consulting company and the Laptop, I am simply not to be using it...

Honestly, I had hoped that access to the EcoSmart Live portal and the Connection manager were more stable on the Mac, as I have had a lot of problems from the PC side of things.
