David - what's the name of that frilly plate like pinkish coral in the middle?
That's just the bottom side of the orange cap. That's why it looks pink in pic.

It's kind of weird but for some reason one of my RBTA's didn't like the change from T5's to LEDs. You can see both of them in the pic below. They sat side by side for months. Now all the sudden the one on the left decided to walk up the wall and rest in the upper back corner. That brings up a question I have. I had an ATI 48" 8x54w dimmable PowerModule that ran on a schedule....
10am-11am ramp up from 0-100% (2 bulb channel)
11am-12pm ramp up from 0-100% (6 bulb channel)
11am-8pm on all 8 bulbs 100%
8pm-9pm ramp down from 100%-0% (6 bulbs. 2 bulb channel still on 100%)
9pm-10pm ramp down from 100%-0% (2 bulb channel)
10pm-10am all bulbs off.
So I had quite a bit of light. I don't want to risk burning any corals with the new LED's. What is the max % I should go say from 11am-8pm like before? Right now I have 20K maxed out at 40%. Could I go higher? Would I be ok with say 20K at 60% from 11am-8pm during this first week?

I didn't get in a hurry at all. I started out at 14k at 45%.
Next question. How come half of the People in this thread are complaining about a Lack of par and the other half are taking forever to acclimate their corals, sometimes starting at 30% and taking months to get to full intensity. The simple conclusions is the it can't be both, its either to strong and needs to slowly be ramped up or it doesn't have enough par and should be run at 100%.

I guess I am one of those people that are taking even longer. I have had my lights for 5 months and I am still at 80% in artificial mode!
