ecotech mp40w flow question

So here is the deal, I have 2 mp40ws and a 6 foot long tank 20 inches wide.

I was wondering if I should put both of the mp40s on one side and make a nice wave on tsm, or the other purple one. Has anyone done this with a 6 foot long?

I have it currently aiming at each other on each side of the tank. its on anti sync.

the waves meet in the middle and it doesn't create a big wave or anything, this way creates great turbulence but no great wave. I was wondering also how the waves would do on sync (since I have on antisync) if they were on both ends of the tank.

i did like using a "wave" in my 4 ft tank. and i had 3 mp40s in it. yes 3. i had a gf with money and well you get it ;)

but i still wasnt happy with them. a good friend of mine had 2 40s in a 5ft 110 and wasnt happy either.

you will get both happy and unhappy with the vortechs i just picked up a mp10 for my 45 gal cube 2 ft by 2 ft and its not enough. i have it all the way up on reef crest. and i have a 305 gal/hr fluval as well, wish i had gotten the mp40.

it takes a while but if you play with it you can get it going. i think you better off to make a wave if they are on the back of ur tank or both on the same side. but then i dont think your gonna have much flow on the other side. hinestly they only work IMO and IME on 4 foot tanks. mp60 might be a better choice for a 6 footer.

the LFS in peoria has 2 mp60s on his 8 foot tank. they look like they are working well. but he also has so large tunze in there.

i think thats what your gonna need maybe two tunze on wave marker or maybe just one in the corner to give some push. honestly the wave isnt that cool and thats a lot of pressure on ur tank walls IMO.

Thanks for your input. I cannot get anymore pumps for now, so I think ill just stick them both on the opposite ends.
