Ecotech MP60 dry side damage

Long story short, I dropped my (new) MP60 dry side, it landed on its back, and now the motor inside seems loose and it runs very noisy. I'm assuming the motor inside came loose from its moorings. I'm loathe to send it back for repair if there's any chance I can fix it myself...can the back of the dry side fixture be taken off? Motor might just need to be reseated; anything more complicated and I'll have to send it back...

Dude, just send it back. They have the one of the best warranties in the biz and once you open that, your warranty is out of the window. That is why you paid out of the arse for your powerhead; support.

^^This, a thousand times this.

I'm sure EM would rather make sure the problem is addressed than have to deal with troubleshooting an out of warranty product and putting you through the agony of doing the same. It is a major factor of peoples buying decisions.

I wouldn't try to fix it, I would order a replacement dry side. They have just a single plug to the controller board and it's very easy to open the case, unplug the damaged one, plug in the new one, and put the screws back in. JMO.

Had an issue with a new mp10 falling off the glass, after a couple trouble shooting emails back and forth, they shipped me the dry and wet side free of charge next day air. All they asked of me was to email a pic of the serial numbers on the driver case. 4 simple screws on the driver case and one plug, all fixed.

One of the best CS experience I've had recently. We payed for that CS, so why not just use it?
