Ecotech Radion USB connection problem: help, please.

Had my laptop die (the machine which communicates with the Radion gen 3). The hard drive became a brick, new hard drive, all fixed and running ok---but now when I try to connect to the light kit, it just says Offline Mode ---I downloaded the program, and it's got my account just fine. EcoSmart live recognizes me, but cannot recognize or communicate with my light kit.

Anybody know a fix? I've got a query into EcoTech, but dawned on me this can't be too uncommon a problem.

Have you tried restarting the light? I have seen this fix communication issues.

Reset the light.

I found the first time i had to connect it had to be through ethernet and not wifi. That fixed all my problems.

Suggestions much appreciated. It's the little things that come up when you've had to reconstitute all your programs---never thought of this little glitch.

I had the same issue with my reef link many times in the past. The connection through the wifi has never been reliable. Today I upgraded the reeflink firmware via USB, then plugged it back into the light which is about 15" away from the router. Worked like a champ after that, but I wont be convinced until I try to re-open the connection and reprogram after a week or so.

I had the same problem, connect your light to the Reeflink via USB then reset the light.
