Hello guys , just a quick question about a led for my tank . I have an odd size 70 g tank and I came across radions led but not quite sure how many I truly need , my tank dimensions are 40x15 and 24 high . With a 3 inch glass support in the middle of tank , it's a Osaka by fluval , I have all soft corals and I was wondering if one is enougth ? Not quite sure if I can get pass the almost 1,500 of I need two? Or what would you guys suggest ? Thanks . I currently run a hid 250w with 4t5 , n the coral seems to be doing great thanks guys !!

I was on ************ and read about some new lights, you should definitely check out SunBrite... a little cheaper unless you have the money for 2 Radions

It looks like the radions spectrum cover about a 30x30 inch area. I guess I'm gonna have to decide on spending that kinda money or buy something diff? U guys have more suggestions ?

I really like the Radions, a buddy of mine has 2 on his 90gallon mixed reef with great success. I dont think one is going to cover your tank with out being very dim on the outer edges. I couldnt get past the price so I went a step down and am running 2 AI Sol's on my 75g. I really like the lights so far.. If you search this forum you will get opinions all over the place, some swear that LED's arent good for anything and other people that have had great success. Two of the common denominators of the people who have had success is getting enough fixtures from the start and if adding to an established tank slowly acclimate the corals. Yes you may lose a piece or two during the slow acclimation, but it is alot better than burning your tank

i have a 60 cube 24 x 24 with 1 radion. I'd like to go to a 90 cube, will 1 radion suffice for a 30 x 30 cube?

I have a 72" long tank with 3 radion on it. I just turned on the middle one and looked at its spread. Just by looking at this i would say that for a 30" tank you would really need 2 if you want to keep any type of decienct corals. With just one you are going to have a very noticable spotlite effect.

If just softies, I'd suggest one radium. You could even keep SPS towards the center of the tank. Actually, two radiums might be overkill for softies.

I'm curious to hear this answer too.
