Ecotech Vortech MP10es w night mode

I bought the mp10 and can't put it into night mode? I am pressing select and mode buttons together pause and press again but will not blink white and go into night mode ? What am I doing wrong........

I just looked at the instruction book online and that's what it says. I run mine off of my Apex. Before that, I did have a small issue getting night mode to work. I'll check their forums and see if I can find what helped me.

Ok, I figured it out the little book it comes with is wrong .....you hold the mode and set button them it blinks red white blue then you press again and it slowly dims white which means from that time every day it will work at 50 percent power for 10 hours.

Is this mode meant to benefit the corals or the fish? or both?Being that most corals' polyps extend out longer at night to filter feed wouldn't you want to maintain the higher flow?

I think it's made to be more calm for the fish. But you so have a good point!
