We will be testing the unit on our own systems within the next week, as well as taking PAR readings, and find out other details we are eager to know.

I wanted to post a few photos of a 57g Oceanic Rimless that a buddy of mine just set up with the Ecoxotic 23.5" Panorama fixture. This tank looks absolutely stunning!

These do not have a dimmer control feature, although they do come with a Stunner in the middle of them which acts as your moonlights.

That photographer needs to sharpen up his skills a bit! ;)

these pictures on the ecoxotic site gave me the confidence to go with a single panorama over my 36" illuminata. You can notice the shadowing in the left and right corners, though. I'm still in my setup phase, so I haven't had a chance to see it for myself yet. My Build

Hey Jeremey,

Do you think a single Stunner would be too bright for a 50 gallon? Also, is one Stunner enough to add shimmer to a 50g or would I need 2?

Hi,

One single stunner should be just fine for moonlights, and it would add shimmer as well. I'm assuming you are referring to moonlighting, correct?

Are there any PAR readings for these fixtures? I have a 24" deep tank and would like to know how deep I could grow sps with these.

I have not gotten any real par numbers through water on it yet, only air at this time. I can tell you that the fixture has been tested by a well known person in this industry that keeps a lot of sps, and he mentioned that up to 20" depth will still get great color rendition, just not a lot of growth at that point. More shallow pieces should be fine with both growth and coloration.

I will have a demo unit setup in our facility in about a week, and will get par numbers in the water.

Jeremy I'm in St. louis not to far from you when you get it set up let me know i'd like to see it but no matter what i need lights and need to pick up a alpha 170 before my tank gets here from Miracles.

Jeremy - I am building a 72Lx30Wx26H tank. I am planning on using two 60" ATI Sunpower 4bulbX80W fixtures> I was hoping to use some LED fixtures to retro with these to give both daylight and moonlight shimmer as well as overall moonlight effect at night.

What combo of the stunners would you recommend to achieve this and how many side by side units would be needed to cover 72" Length tank?

The Stunner is not what needs to be dimmed, but actually each Panorama module within the fixture. To my knowledge no one has come up with a way to dim these yet though.
