Is anyone using the ecoxotic Stunner LED Strips to get more blue color in there tank? If you are what are you using the 453nm Blue or the 403nm UV and pics if you have them.

If looking for blue then 453 is what you want, 403 will give more of the black light poster look.
I really like these, very compact, really well sealed.

I borrowed both the 403 and 8000K stunner strips from my LFS to try over my 10 gallon tanks. I was not impressed.

Instead I got a Panorama. Even in conjunction with a 96w PC the panorama gives the tank a blue tinge and pops the colors.

jmo,

The panorama modules are definitely brighter/stronger(but a lil more $$)
The 403's seemed to easily be blocked out by existing bulbs, those really seem better for moons or even better a cool down light IMO, and again, giving that black light look.
I didn't check the 8k(blue white combo) but for me the 453's did cut through lights enough to add blue color, and also work great for a evening cool down.
The powermodules will actually have significant PAR value, the stunners do not.

I'm interested on adding those strips to my current lighting too. if my aquarium is 48" and I have 6 T5HO, would I really see changes in coloration by adding 2 strips?

Exactly what I'd like to know. In addition to his question, does anyone know how much light (equivalent to lets say, a power compact) these little strips put out? I know they use 9 watts, but how much light is that in terms that we all know how to relate to?

As in Par, not a whole lot. I think I read they were around 60 par at 4 inchs

It's hard to say for sure if the difference is going to be noticeable enough for every individual, and different fixtures/bulbs /reflectors will vary.
They are not intended to add any real measureable PAR value.
The panorama modules are much stronger, and are meant for growing corals, but I don't know PAR values on those.
I did run the Panorama fixture on my 60g cube, and it did grow sps in top 3rd very well, and sustained nems at sand bed, just FYI.

I have 2 strips on my 40 gallon along with 4 x 39 watt t5. It isnt that noticeable until you turn it on and off, If you want PAR value then go with the Panorama modules instead of the strips. It can get expensive but they are very compact compared to T5's with reflectors.
