And did my weekly 10% WC and check my water params as below:
"¢ Temperature "“ 26.4 degree C (light off)
"¢ Salinity Gravity "“ 33.9ppt (down from last week 35ppt)
"¢ pH "“ 8.02 (light off)
"¢ NO3 "“ 0.00 (Salifert Test kit "“ same as last same)
"¢ PO4 "“ 0.00 (D&D Test kit "“ same as last week)
"¢ dKH "“ 8.0 (API test kit "“ up from ast week 7)
"¢ dKH "“ 8.0 (Elos test kit "“ up from last week 6.5)
"¢ Ca "“ 410 (Salifert test kit "“ down from last week 440)
"¢ Ca "“ 410 (Elos test kit "“ down from last week 430)
"¢ Mg "“ 1200 (Salifert test kit "“ down from last week 1350)
"¢ Mg "“ 1300 (Elos test kit "“ down from last week 1350)
"¢ Potassium "“390 "“ 400 range (Kz Test kit "“ same as last week)
Very please that my dKH is now on a comfortable level. I reduce my salinity by 1 ppt (to drop my overall Ca level by my salt mix) as I want to increase my bubble count to compensate for the "˜loss' of Ca from the reduce salinity and at the same time increase my dKH level.
Mg level looking good with Elos testkit. I usually ignore Salifert Mg testkit as mine is close to expiry and the readings are off in my weekly testing.
Seem to be a good strategy so far and hopefully key params can remain stable.

World Wide Corals is a GREAT place to shop, it is about a 2-1/2 drive south for me. Shame I did not see where Pacific Reefs posted the "main" display tank. The aquascaping is quite impressive.
I think you would drool Ed :lol:
In the lighting used in the main display tank and frag tank in the front of the store is LED lights, which gives the corals that beautiful color.
There is appx. 12 tanks to pick from in the back room.

These are from the main display. I will see if I have some better pics on the camera...I agree it doesn't do the tank justice. Also the bubble king pic is the skimmer attached to the main display as well.

Glad you like the store. Ed you have such amazing corals that's why I was wondering what the LFS is like in your area.

Are you allowed to take photos from your LFS????
I am definitely interested in seeing their set up.
We "sponsor" 2 LFS, one has better corals than the other, and the other has better fish, go figure right...
I will ask them for permission and take a few pictures for you.

Will be nice to see some LFS pictures Sandy.
I will try to take some pictures of the LFS here but it will be disappointing. However, those in HK are nice but they don't allow to take pictures
Most of my corals I get 'friends' to send me pictures once they arrived in HK and then after I place my orders, I get more 'friends' to bring it in under the table for me lol

New Fishes Release Into Display….

Both new fishes adapt well into the new tank.
My Purple of course tried to show who's boss in the tank but my Kole stood his ground and took no nonsense. After a few hours of "˜tail fights' both seem to settle into their own corner of the tank so hopefully that's the end of it!!
Pictures are bad as it's so difficult to take as he is still very nervous and swim away each time I tries to get close"¦.
Oh the other hand, my Candy hog tries to give the flasher a hard time but flasher stood his ground and started flashing and refuses to give in"¦.
All seem good after a while and the flasher is now happily schooling with the rest of my Anthias. Hope he makes it !!
