They look happy in there!

Yes they do - My Candy Hog still chases my the flasher around but the flasher seem to be holding on it's own.

That's not a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse. It looks to be either a Yellowfin Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus flavianalis) or a Filamented Flasher wrasse (Paracheilinus filamentosus). I would need a better picture while the fish has its fins spread out. The McCosker has one long filament on the dorsal fin and the anal fin is red. Also the lines on the side of the body are blue, not purple like in your picture. The Yellowfin's dorsal fin is yellow with 1-4 filaments while the anal fin is all yellow. The Filamented Flasher will have bright yellows, blues, and reds in the dorsal fins and the body can be in any color from blue/purple and red to yellow and orange and blue. The caudal fin on this fish has long filaments and is lunate.

This is my McCosker

I think you could be right Ricky as I'm always confuse with the two. Will try to take a better picture one of these days when he is flashing lol

Beautiful picture of your McCosker you got there !!

Thanks, I've been following your thread, very nice! What mogul bulb would you recommend for good SPS coloration? I will most likely be using 250 watt bulbs but the 400 watt is always a possibility. I like the look your Radium's give your corals.

Radium does color up the corals nicely IMO.

What ballast do you have or are you planning to get the ballast as well as this Radium bulbs looks different on different ballast!!

Beautiful tank Ed.

I just ordered a tank with the dimensions 100cm lenght, 80cm depth and 30cm height. Lots of inspiration for me in this thread.

I think "too shallow" is mostly about aestethics.

In a tank that is 100cm long (40ish inches) 30cm (12 Inches) is perfect..

Whereas in a tank that is perhaps 160cm (63") or 180cm (71) then 12" might be too shallow.

Think "one thirds".. a shallow tank often looks good with one third of its lenght in height.

And as GSM says 12" isnt that uncommon i think. :)
