Eek! Ich!

Ok, so about a week ago my puffer showed signs of ich, but this was having done some cleaning of the sand bed (which normally causes him to get white spots) but last night i cam home and he looked particuarlly bad and this morning i have confirmed it is whitespot...

He's now in QT and i'm going to do hyposalinity, the other fish in the tank showing symptons is my Vampire tang, however he is being cleaned by the cleaner shrimp who is actually clearing him up :O But my question is ddo i need to treat the display tank because there are inverts and LR in there....

Also what's the chemical treatment for marine whitespot, is it Myxazin, because i lent that to my girlfriend for her betta which had fin rot...

Any other suggestiong on anything i may want to do?

get all the fish into qt and hypo will take care of the ich... 6 weeks and leave the tank with no fish for 8wks...

It's best to QT anything you plan on putting in your main tank for at least 4-6 weeks. This includes ANYTHING wet. Live rock, corals, inverts, fish. You don't have to necessarily medicate for ich when you QT inverts, coral or live rock but there may be some undesireables that could come attached to them or with them that you don't want in your tank as well. When QTing fish it's a good idea to at least observe them for ich or velvet for 4-6 weeks and then medicate or run hypo or copper on them if you notice any signs of ich or velvet. I personally always do hypo on the fish when I get them to kill any unnoticed ich that they may have on them before introducing it(the ich) into the tank.
