Eel in a 28 gallon HQI Nano?

Made a cover for the Eel. It is definitely not going to jump out. :)

Stretching it out.

AWESOME cover! That'll work.

Thanks! :D The LFS said they were supposed to get some Ribbon Eels in yesterday, but they only got corals, they said they should get a Ribbon Eel this coming up Tuesday. Can't wait! :D I'll put a cover on the intake of the power heads now. :)

Just be sure you weight that cover down. Eels are pretty much all muscle, so if they can nose the cover aside, they may get out anyway.

I've got the hood of the tank on the net cover. If it wants to come out, it will have to push 5-7 lb up and slide off the net cover to the side.

Harlequin Shrimp and Ribbon Eels in the same tank is not a good idea right? As the Ribbon Eel will most likely eat the Harlequin Shrimp?

As was said above, make sure to cover any holes. I personally wouldn't put an eel in a tank that small, but thats a personal choice.

hey western hows this goin man u ever get your eel?

Hey, no, I never got a Ribbon Eel. The LFS that was supposed to get the eel stopped picking up my phone calls. They told me to call on the day they were supposed to get the eel, I call on that day and many days after that and they never picked up... I'll call em in a week.
