What kind of eel is that Dubbin?? very interesting coloration, and how big is it/will it get??

Yeah nice eel dubbin and go pistons.

I would most definately use a lid for your eel. Like sickfish said they really are crazy the first few weeks then settle down. In fact me, my wife and some of her friends were sitting in the living room one night when I first got my snowflake when low and behold he goes slithering across the floor right in front of us. Talk about screams- my wifes friends huddled in the hallway and wouldn't come out. He was pretty small then and slid right in between the holes in the eggcrate. Ironically he doesn't even come out of his rocks anymore-only at feeding time. Hardly ever see him.
I still have to feed him with a feeding stick too. Kind of sucks but got to do what you got to do.

New pics, and a new eel. I made a home for the dwarf eel down in my sump for fear the new one would eat her, by the way.

Its a spotted snake eel and a little better then 30". It has been at that size for a couple of years now so I'm guessing thats the limit. He's a very cool eel and not aggressive at all.

Sean, if you were referring to me about the cover, it has been covered since day one.

Just for the heck of it I'll toss in a couple more pics from when I got him :)

I will get more pics up of my eels on there as soon as possible. Added a male green wolf eel today to go along with me female. She is larger buy about 4 inches, and has been picking on him somewhat, but for the most part their behavior towards each other has been normal based on what I've read on here.

Awesome eels!!! My snowflake just passed away a few days ago and I was just looking at the awesome eel pics thinking about what I might want to get next.. If anything.

Here's my 3 GDMs just added today. The two smaller ones aren't seeming to get along but hoping they mellow out.

My Zebra Moray durring feeding. The food in the pouch is for the fish not the eel but he gets impatient if the feeding stick is slow to come.
