I would go with the zebra. snowflakes have been know to eat small fish once they get bigger but you could also get a golden dwarf they stay pretty small. What kind of fish are you talking about and size tank?

Hey meatball87 thanks 4 the. Info on the dragon oh and back to the topic on hand I have a gollden dwarf I got and he maxes out at 12 inches

Zebra and Golden Dwarf are safe with medium/large fish, but I wouldn't trust any eel with small fish.

I keep my eel by himself for a reason. At ~ 4', he pretty much can, and has, eaten every fish I have tried to put in with him. I do keep a couple of skunk cleaner shrimp in the tank - they like to crawl all over him to pick at dead skin, etc. The only other critters I will put in with him are Green Brittle stars and very large hermits.

Idk exactly what u are looking for, but I have a black ribbon eel. Also had a ghost ribbon. Both are super peacefull. Theeir mouths are to small to do anythjng to the fish

IF you can get them to eat you would feed them the same thing you feed other eels squid shrimp silversides etc

I have my golden in with a baby clown same with the zebra both fine zebra is a little morepeacefull

What about Goldentails? I heard they were relatively docile.

No. They'll eat whatever fish they can catch and swallow. Only safe fish are large fish like groupers.

well the ghost ribbon is not the same as the black and blue. the ghost ribbon is much easier to care for than the black or blue. i can vouch for that i have had both

I was referring to the black and the blue depends.

it all depends on what kind of fish you want to keep any eel that has the chance to pick off a fish will so like said above smaller fish no safe eel large fish the eels above should be ok

agreed. i was recomending these eels because they have smaller mouths so you can have smaller fish.

I've lost a lot of fish to a Snowflake Eel. I heard Zebra's are docile... but I would consider them opportunists.
