bluenassarius
retired algae slanger
i realize some people don't like putting plants in their display tanks.. so i am posting in the plant section.
ok so, i've had my tank for almost 3 months now.
i've noticed that my red grape algae plant hasn't had significant growth the past month. the first month i had the tank -- major growth with that plant.
first month tank occupants were
2 LARGE cowries(they were pooping alot!), hermit crabs, astrea snails
second month tank occupants are
astrea snails, nassarius snails, scooter blennie, yellow clown goby, hermit crab, camel+skunk shrimp. (no more cowries... they were eating up the red algae like crazy... gave them to my brother)
question is, what do i need to do to keep the algae growing as much as possible? do i need something that creates alot of waste like the cowries?
i would like to create a tank with a diverse plant setup and grow them. any suggestions? any input with be greatly appreciated.
