Eggs turning white

Okay my clownfish laid a fairly nice size clutch after waiting months after months since I moved them to their own tank and of course three days later a lot of them have turned white and I am assuming that is fungus on them.

What causes this to happen?
And how can I correct it from happening again on the next clutch or clutches?

Mine do that after I put them in the fry tank to hatch after day 8. almost all of them hatch and some don't hatch that night and end up turning white the following day. I think its because they arent getting enough flow or oxygen to the eggs because when I place the rock in my fry tank they only have the flow from the air stone which isnt alot.

Do they sway a lil bit in your tank or are they just sitting there not moving?
Does the male ever go by them and flip his fans or make them sway?

According to joyce wilkerson it is a fungi or bacteria that causes the eggs to turn white, it is due to not enough aeration, the fungi will only affect still eggs not ones with enough flow.

The eggs are with the parents and both parents are tending the clutch. They look to be swaying. Seems like they should be getting more flow because normally they lay the eggs at the back of the clay pot and this time they laid them towards the front of the clay pot.

Yea they shouldnt be that white or clear on day 3! I think they need better flow

I think they are getting enough flow the other batches that they have laid in that pot was in the vey back and would not be getting any flow and this is in the front. I am thinking the water quality. I keep running out of my salt mix extremely fast and have not been able to change their water like I wanted to plus the bottom of the tank is dirty. The parents are all over the eggs tending to them.

Oh well that could be it too! Any sudden changes can mess with the process and the parents. Good luck tho! Have u tried raising any yet?

Yes I have had one successful batch they are 8 months old now. Three ended up with Flared Gills.
