Eheim 1262 flow through UV?

Hello everyone, I am running an Eheim 1262 for my 130 gal tank. The thing is that I am running it through my aqua uv sterilizer before if goes into the return. I wonder if I am losing to much flow because of this? Is it ok? I am also running a vortech pump inside the tank so that is producing lots of flow, but I worry about the turnover rate.

How high does the pump have to push water up and how many turns in the plumbing?

There are four right angles total in the system. The water goes about one foot up then 90 deg. to the uv then 90 deg out of the uv up throught the return where there is another 90 deg. The total height is about 4-5 ft.

with the 3000gph vortech you are near 30x

I am using a ehiem 1260 for my return and plumb it through the aqua 57watts uv. it is fine. I used to use 2 pumps for return, but found that 1 pump works better. There is a thread somewhere saying slowing flow thru rate is better.
