Eheim pumps

Is the 1250 adequate for a return pump from my sump for my 90g with a 1 inch drain into the sump, or should I go up to the 1260?

Hi,

I would recommend going with the 1260 at least, possibly even the 1262. The 1250 just isn't going to give you that much flow back into the tank for that size of system.

What do you plan on returning the inlet through? Seaswirl? WavySea, etc?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Thanks for the reply Jeremy. I ordered the 1260 from you guys. I haven't thought about the return yet. Any suggestions??

The return will also be based on what you plan on doing for extra circulation inside the tank. If you are going to be using Seio's or Tunze's, or even the Vortech, you could just drop a standard PVC return in. If you want to spice it up just a hair you could use some locline fittings to get some more direct flow.

If you don't mind spending the money I think I would opt for Seaswirl or a Wavysea on the return line. Combine that with a 3-4 MJ1200's pulsing on and off and you should have a perfect, random, flow inside of the tank.

Thanks,
Jeremy
