Ehiem Pump Question

I'm thinking about getting an Ehiem 1048 for my return pump but i have a question before i do,

in all of the pictures of the pump that i see, the output is a hose connection, is there away to plumb it with PVC as opposed to the hose?

eheim 1048 comes with 1/2"barbed hose connectors to 1/4" threaded output connector and 1/2" barbed to 3/8" threaded input connector. You can probably plumb to pvc if you can get the adapters 1/4" male to 1/2" female" and 3/8" male to 1/2"female
