Electric Bill

Sherry,
Just checked my electric bill.

Electricity is 0.08426 per kWH and then 0.037667 per kWH to supply it

so about 12 cents kwh

Call your electric company and ask them if they offer time of use meters. On peak hour rates are alot more than off peak rates BUT if you have alot of electric use like I do you can switch the major portion of your electric useage to the off peak hours and pay quite a bit less for the same amount of electricity. On peak charges are a different story.

Remember your lights don't run 24/7. And the heater, after considering summer and winter, cycles on maybe 10-20% of the time. Typical heater sizes for a 75 would be 150-250 watt I think.

Hope that helps.

I would take the VHOs off line, that will save you $20 a month. Just find two MH bulbs that give a color you want and forget about the VHOs. Just my opinion, of course.

Thanks for the help figuring this out everyone. We found the correct charges and realized I was right the first time. We pay about $40 a month for electric.

Ugh... god I hate this thread.....!!! the two words electric bill should be outlawed on this site!! kidding (sort of). I don't even want to know.
