I just got my latest power bill it is over $750 for a 1/4, it got me to thinking what do you reefers spend on power

i am trying to track down what is sucking the power so bad. i am using up to 48klw a day

Sorry, I haven't touched a bill since the Mrs. ordered Winnie the Pooh checks so i have no clue. Lights are on so I assume it is being paid.

i'm pushing an average of 40kwh/day with the tanks, 2 computers and an electric water heater. Sounds like you are doing pretty good seeing you have easily 5x the wattage in lights that i use across all of my tanks.

my electric is around $200 a month and i have 17 tanks ,lota of lights ,skimmers ,heaters,UV steralizers, and powerheads . i dont think that to bad . i even have a 200 gal sump with a sequence pool sized pump downstairs pumping up into the house on my fish only system 24/7/365 !

mine is around 100.00 a month...i have a 75gal with MH's and a 30 gal with PCs im also on budget billing so it averages out my bill quarterly...and adjusts the price per month...

I pay around $375+. I expect this to go about to around $400+ with the new tank. I have an all electric house and I work from home...

My bill increased about 20 bucks a month with my typical 75 gallon setup: return pump, skimmer, 300w heater, PC lighting, Koralia #4.
