electrical advice needed

I guess I have to ask the question...it is really worth it for one pump? This is just me...but I would sell it and get a big Eheim or something...just my .02

well since it is right there and materials will cost under 40$ and a new pump that will do 2000GPH is about 300ish...i would say the cost savings is pretty good to do the project. as well as the fact of trying to sell the pump. i have never tryed but i dont think there is a big market for 220v pumps in the area as well as across the country. also there are 2 of these pumps so it would be even more difficult to sell 2 pumps that are 220v.

Im not trying to offend you frank just showing the big picture... also need to talk to you...give me a shout when you get home from work. thanks

when I was in Turkey, the Turkish electrician put his screwdriver to it to see which was which (they are 220, American things are 110), he didn't even really curse. I agree with turning off the power there, but it shouldn't be very hard to do...I've run power around before. and if a chick can do it...

That explains a lot, I'm 1/2 Turk. I remember sticking a screw driver into a socket when I was about 4.
