Electrical needs for 300 gallon + sump

I'm putting in a 300 gallon tank with a 70-90 gallon sump. I'm trying to figure out what my electrical needs are going to be. Can anyone give me an idea? I'll be running all the standard things, skimmer, pumps, T-5 lights, chiller, CA, ozonator, UV sterilizer, etc.

I use a 60 amp circuit off my main e panel to feed a sub panel. I use this on a 350+50 gal system with all the bells and whistles no problem.

Musicbabe,
plan, plan, plan

lights, pumps, and chiller now (3 circuts) + accessories-- might not be what you end up with in the furture, as you expand into the hobby.
3- 20 amp circuts should do it now, but I would have them install at least (2) extra circuts that you could save for use in the future.
just my opinion

P.S. I have (6) dedicated 20amp circuts on mine
vho-mh lights/pump/pump/1hp chiller/1hp chiller/ controller with CA reactor, and 1500 watts of heaters.

everyones situation is different

I have 5 different circuits for a 240g system
Only 2 are totally dedicated, the others are shared
The more circuits, less chance of multiple problems when something kicks out a GFI or breaker

i dont have anything "dedicated" to my tank but then again i dont have a chiller, uv or ozone.

everything for my tank is run on the outlets in the wall.
my equipment: asm g3, 3-250W MH, dart return, 4-tunze, 2 canopy fans, 1 sump fan, 500watt heater, aquacontroller, maxijet for phosban reactor, i think that's about it. tried to keep it as simple as possible. been working well so far.

Thanks for the info. Polywise, how much does that tank affect your electric bill? Also, where do you have the additional 320 gallons of water? Your current tank line says you have a 280 gallon tank.
John 37, are you happy with your asm?

actually i am but i dont haven't had a lot of skimmers to compare.
was thinking of getting an h&s but just waiting/stalling.

Musicbabe,

Hi - The extra 220 gallons are in the large sump and in the 3" PVC piping that supplies the system. My pump room is on the floor below my office.
I have (2) chillers-- one used year round, and the other is only turned on between April and September to aid with the hoter weather.

As for the electricity-- I haven't wanted to tally it up. It is combinded with my factories power bill, and doesent make a dent in the total. My factory power bill runs +- $20,000 / month
like I said in my oringinal post-- "everyones situation is different"
