Does anyone know how to wire up allen bradley or Square D pushbutton switches to be push on/push off?? I cant figure it out, so I tossed my project on ebay. If anyone is interested let mek now or if anyone knows how to help solve my problem with it, let me know!

I think you'd need to wire them into a relay. I work at an Allen-Bradley distributor and with my limited knowledge of their pushbuttons, they don't latch themselves. Your best bet would be to have used 2-position switches. Looks like a nice power center though. Too bad you gave up on it.

Does anyone know a good controller system that will interface with 12V? I built the relay power center on page 1 of ths thread, but I never completed the controller end of the project to my satisfaction. Right now I am using some mechanical timers that were re-worked to use the contacts with 12V and a computer power supply.
I would really like to use the Aquacontroller system, but their interface is all X-10. They have a 4-circuit interface unit, but I would rather build something that would control more like 12 to 16 channels. I have searched the X-10 sites and forums and never had much luck finding anything to suit my needs.
The ideal module for me would be interface with the Aquacontroller X-10 interface (RJ11C) and output low voltage contacts or logic control for each channel.

Most of my switches are Square D and I found this contact block

but at $20 a pop I would need to shell out about another $200. for 10 buttons. and I still dont have wiring, timers and the components to make the AB buttons work how I want them.
they are cool, industrial buttons though. just wish it was cheaper.

Well......lol....its been a while but I am finally constructing my power center.

Finally decided to go with the American DJ 100A power strips wired to standard outlets.

Will have two strips in the basment and one upstairs under the tank. will post a few pics soon!

Dang... you know you got a big tank when it has it's own meter.

Here's my panel:

It's fairly basic... the outlets across the bottom are run by timers for my lighting... each timer controls the two outlets to the right of it. The Natural Wave timer is unfortunately broken now (a common occurrence), but I keep it there so I can turn my powerheads on and off with one switch.
The master panel switch is in the upper-left corner, so I can shut the whole tank down with a single switch if I need to. The skimmer and return outlets are also switched in the upper-right corner. The AquaLogic temp controller is wired to the two outlets below the skimmer and return outlets, and my heater and chiller are plugged into those controlled outlets (it's a dual stage controller). The group of outlets surrounding the master on/off switch are just miscellaneous for anything else I need.

The empty spot to the left of the temp controller is soon to be filled with a Milwaukee ORP controller, since I'm going to start dosing ozone... I also plan on leaving room for a PH monitor or controller once I get my calcium reactor.

That's about it... it's not too impressive, but it does the job.

Are your timers GE or the Aube timers? And are those variable timers at the bottom? What for, feeding?

Here's mine. This is under my tank in the stand. I built a box inside the stand that is waterproof from the top. If the tank leaks, it will not run down into the electrical area. It also forces all cords to have a drip loop. This prevents water from running down a cord and into a live outlet. The entire tank is controlled through an Aquacontroller that is hooked to my laptop.

That's a 8 input, 4 output programmable relay.

Basically a PLC with on board programming.

By the time you buy a couple decent time clocks, you can buy one of these.

Yup, It's a LOGO.

Got it for free, too. I was trying to figure out what would work best for a job I was doing and the supplier gave me one to sway me!
