Electrical switching box... need pics/help??

I'm in the process of building my fish room and I'm wanting to make or buy a switching box for all the different outlets in the room.

I've seen some pics on here and wish you would post more?

Is this an "off the shelf" item or does it need to be custom?

What do you mean by an electrical switching box?

I think you are talking about that ^.. pretty easy to setup and pretty easy to find..


you can get them used at daddy's junky music shop for pretty cheap

Not a controller..

I have seen metal boxes that people put 8-12 rocker switches in and can turn pumps, lights..etc. off all in one area.
The DJ rack will work but I was talking about more of a "homemade" looking square box that is hard wired to all the different equipment.

Can't help you there...

I can think of all sorts of reasons not to hard wire different equipment though... maintenance and breakdown are two...

I don't think I would want to opening that box every time I needed to clean a pump...

Just a thought...

What I meant was hardwire into the switchbox from the panel, then hardwire out from each rocker to sockets located close to the area for each piece of equipment. Then you can plug it in or unplug it.
