Electricity is going out all over town

Power went out from about 2am to 10am....tank was at 70 degrees...house was cold! Cable just came back on now...so far it looks like we got lucky here.

I tried calling Lost Marbles, but didn't get through.

I feel so lucky. Power went out here at 4am. I have a Seio on a 2400va UPS just incase something like this happens so I have some water flow. The Seio runs for about 6 hours on the UPS. There is no way I could run a heater on the UPS. I went to work at 7am and got home at 7pm. Both of my tanks were down to 62 and the UPS died about 6 hours earlier!!! On my way home I picked up a 5550watt generator from a buddy at work and got it hooked up ASAP. So far only my Coral Beauty and my Green Bubble Coral are dead. I guess only time will tell on the rest of the tank but everything is looking good so far. My zoos have all opened back up, my brains have expanded, none of my SPS are bleached, and my Euphyllia collection is expanded as well. At those temps I am absolutely amazed I did have a total loss.

I wish the best of luck to everyone else out there. If anyone needs help with anything, let me know.

Power never went out here. I bought a UPS just in case...it's big enough to run a heater and a PH for a few hours. My dad bought the last generator in Farmington today...my mom and sister suggested he get one on Wednesday. Men, they just never listen  Since my parents don't have a tank or anything and just needed to run the heat (our motorhome's generator is currently out of order) they'll probably not need it again for a while. I told them to keep it because I would have use for it. My point--I hopefully will soon have a generator to loan out to those in need. It won't help for this storm, but if we have another one it should come in handy.

been watching the ameren map and it seems that they've gotten 20K worth of people set straight since 9:00. Not too bad, still a lot to go though.

I sure am glad I live in Florida where it was 85 degrees today (and night)! Of course, we have those nasty hurricanes to buy generators for.

MarkK96 has been out since about 9:00 or so last night. He's running a newly purchased generator.

Any update on Mark? Have not seen him online since the storm?

Have you been without power all this time Dennis? You should have said something. You know I am right down the road from you, 10 minutes max. I would have been very glad to help. Next time call, ask I or someone would be more than happy to help. Don't risk it. Hope the kids handled it well.
