Electricity Question

We are purchasing a new home and are scheduled to close at the end of this month. We will be putting the tank in the kitchen. The kitchen has 5 wall outlets that I can count, one being used for the fridge. There is no microhood, so we will be using a countertop model. I am afraid that if I turn the microwave on, I will have a problem tripping the circuit. Right now, the tank is in our living room at our apartment, and I can't use the vacuum cleaner for more than a minute without tripping the circuit. I'm afraid that I'm going to have the same problem here.

I was told to post this here for John. John, what would the best solution for me?

The house was built in 2000 in the Applegrove subdivision in Clarksville.

Code requires kitchens to have two ckts. both on their own bkrs. So chances are as long as you put most of your appliances on one ckt and the tank on the other you my be ok.
I would say try what you have. Most likely if your last place worked as well as you say only tripping with the vacuum your 20amp kitchen ckt. should hold up. provided that you can put your toaster,coffee maker ect. on the other ckt.
Worst case you'll have to add a ckt. later.........

Is adding a circuit expensive?

It depends on the layout of the house, how easy of access to the ckt bkr. box, length of wire, time it takes to install, etc...
