I am reviewing my electrical safety. And installing GFCI's for various appliances. My 6100's are 12 volt - does this mean they are relatively safe from zapping me too hard if I stuck my hand in the tank causing to be a ground if the insulation or other issue was causing full leakage? Or can I ignore GFCI'ing the Tunze part of my system.

Will this be the case for the Stream 2's? AND, do the new one speed streams like 6085's run on 110V?

The electronic streams run on low voltage of the Stream 2's this includes the 6105, 6205 and 6305. The synchronous streams and stream 2's like 6085 run on full 110. My experience is that the low voltage Streams at most deliver a tingle like sticking your tongue to a 9V battery, especially if you have an open cut on your hand. The voltage is very low 12-24V depending on model but the amps is fairly high, it may tingle but it is not likely to pack a real whallop.
