electronic turbelle problem

Roger,
Last night after the feeding timer came back on, my turbelle gave a single screech (normally means it needs to be cleaned). However, when I looked at it the controller lights were out. I cleaned it anyway, put in a new impeller assy, with new upper and lower bearings, and it still wouldn't work. The controller lights were erratic, the impeller wouldn't move (although you could feel that current was getting to the pump - the impeller would vibrate as I manually turned it, but not rotate). The electronic driver would get warm, and make a very low pitched intermittent humming noise. I have a spare electronic driver and pump, and when I installed them, they worked fine, so the controller is ok.

The pump and electronic driver are still under warranty (purchased last April). Any ideas, or should I send either or both in for repair?

thanks, Mike

Send me your old (broken)driver and pump for testing/ repair. We like to be sure the driver was the cause and not a symptom. Sometimes the pump is the problem and breaks the driver.
