It depends on what you define as "near by".

They do not like each other and both have a strong sting. In my tank they are very close and occasionally touch, but have established a bit of a DMZ and leave themselves about 2 inches of room.

you need to move them further apart. Odds are one will start to die off, that hammers sweepers will start in on that elegance. way to close
