Elegance coral getting ticked off?

I have a recently acquired aussie elegance.

I placed it on the sand bed backed up against a piece of liverock. Since yesterday that are times it is open full, and randomly when I go by I see it has completely drew itself in to my astonishment that such a large thing can do, almost completely taken into itself. then later fully open and again this morning completely taken in.

I am assuming something is bugging it randomly? or anyone have advice or experience on the manner? i was going to move it up into the liverock crevice somewhere this evening to see.

I would keep it on the sandbed and maybe a little shaded spot. elegances are tricky to get acclimated. Once acclimated they expand and grow fast.
