ive put my elegance coral in a rock crevice around where there are few acropora
so how bad elegance coral can sting and how far?

Bad and surprisingly far!
Honestly, I'm at my witt's end with my elegance. I keep shoving it further and further under an overhang in my tank, and it just keeps growing and growing. I have lost a clam to it (kamikazied off a ledge into the elegance). It literally burned holes through the mantle.
It's melted some acans and a favia as well. It even sticks to my arm if I accidently brush up against it when working in the tank. Usually leaves little welts afterwards. There are some days I'm convinced it's not an elegance at all, but a carpet anemone!

Elegance are very aggressive they need to be a good distance away from other corals.
They are very potent and win almost every fight.
