do yours poop a lot? I just got mine a few days ago. It's been on the sandbed. And that sandbed is now littered with lots of curly black things. and with one or two poop always hanging out of its mouth [edit] one of its many mouths. I'm not feeding them. Is that normal?
Mine doesn't. I don't feed mine directly so it doesn't make much waste.
Maybe it's not poop. I've seen mine expel some zooxanthellae before. It was brown. Happened when I changed my lighting. Since you just got yours it maybe expelling zooxanthellae to adjust to the lighting. LPS corals do that when they are moved to a new environment too I've noticed.
ickkkkkkk I hope not. perhaps I should move it to a lower light area. or create a lower light area as I don't have one right now.
hang on guys, it does reason that yes they could poop since it does eat. It's black, chunky, like nem poop. looks no different. I have seen expellation of that symbiotic algae by other lps so this is not what it is.
I have a 30" tall tank and my lights are 10" from the water. I have my elegance on the sandbed so over 3' from a light source and it seems to love that spot.
