Elegance Question

Feeding and watch flow and lighting. Although mine are kept in a high flow area and under direct 225 20k MH. I have heard lately that these coral are becoming harder to keep. Mine is going on 7 years old so good luck keeping them.

I have mine in the sandbed that is where they would be found in the wild. I also get them to expand best with gentle currents.I have keepthem under MH and now led. feed once or twice a week with silversides or Mysis. I have 5. 4 of these I fraged off a big indo elegance that was in a buddys tank for over 10 years. the 5th one I got this spring it is a Australian elegance. I will try to get a good pic.

I was told they like low light. I had a nice one that I lost because it got too much light and bleached

Mine must be the exception, it's been blasted with light for years. But corals are all different.

I had an issue with mine a few months ago that caused the EC to show skeleton and cause my big to split into 3. I thought about cutting the Skeleton and making 3. Lol I have heard that today's EC aren't as hardy as they used to be.

Any pics yet?

I put both elegance together now, the newest one looks good but the one I have had the longest doesn't always look that happy, not alot of extension. I hope I am not transmitting anything from one to another.

give them time sometimes mine will look bad for a day or two. just keep an eye on them.mine have also benifited greatly since I added a wave maker

Here is a pic

I have 2 mp40's in this tank but I do love the action of a wavemaker.

Sorry about my poor photography skills, suggestions are welcome.
