Elegance questions

Hello--

I have a two part question. First of all, where is the best place to buy Aussie elegance corals online?

Also, I just got an elegance coral. (Unfortunately didn't do my research about Indo vs. Aussie and am not sure which one this is) It's a bright yellow color with purple tips. It's my first Elegance, and I want to make sure it does well. I also have a Magnifica in the same tank (don't worry, far away from the elegance), and it's doing well so I'm not exactly a beginner, just a beginner when it comes to elegance corals.

What's the best light and flow for this coral? I have a pretty high flow tank because of the Magnifica, and my lighting is 12K Reeflux. Right now the elegance is at the bottom of the tank. It seems pretty happy, but it's getting probably moderate flow. Is that okay?

I have a 55g tall, so it's a fairly deep tank. I want to say it's 21-22 inches deep, but I should check.

Water params are all good.

PM sent for first question. Hard to say for the second question without knowing where it came from. Is there any way you can contact the people you got it from and find out where they got it? Indo's are very light sensitive. With Aussie's I like to start them out in moderate lighting and slowly increase it. The flow may be an issue regardless of where it came from. Elegance corals don't do well with strong flow.

Also, where should I put it in the tank? I've seen pictures of them under live rock, almost like they are peeking out. Just seems like that might damage the tentacles?

I got mine from the Diver's Den at Live Aquaria. It was an Aussie variety, and seems to be doing ok. I believe I might need to feed it more. At night it completely shrinks up, but in the daytime it does expand and the tenticles show. Mine is green with pink tips.

It may be shrinking in response to the nightly pH swing. Mine does this when I get lazy and don't dose kalk. Having a RDP refugium helps also.

I agree with the Diver's Den for now. I got mine there but I have only had it for two months.
