good luck, do you know where it came from? because there very iffy corals. i know that they love to eat PE mysis shrimp if you softly drop a clump on them

I had one, but it lasted only 2 weeks. They are one of the more difficult one to keep. It's a nice one I hope it lasts for you.

I know the popular vote is that they don't do well but I've always had luck with them. My first lasted about 6 months and then a "reef safe" as my LFS said chocolate chip star ate it (I was a noob then). My second lasted for well over a year and was growing like crazy (It died due to me moving to Florida and breaking down in the middle of the night and corals were in bags for 2 days). And then my current piece has been with me since I set up the new tank in August of 06, looks fantastic and growing nicely as well.. Its all about how they are handled during shiping and collecting.

you get that today?

very familiar?

BTW Joe E. Boneman has been doing some research on the matter-I came across it a while back.
Usually elegance develop some sort of disease that's currently being researched. Viral vs. Pathogen the debate is quite interesting and as previuosly stated has been going on for quite some time. IMO there's a sense of satisfaction on being able to keep some of this "diff" to keep species.
On a previous setup I kept 2 elegance from 2 diff batches succesfully for 1.5 years and sold them when I took the tank down. Also got rid of some duncans at that time. Since then its been hit or miss this one being my 3rd try none since 2004.
SInce my reef is doing quite well now and I have a specific space away from my sps and in a perfect sandbed I dediced to give this particular one a try after I got a call from my buddy about this particular one and what it appears to be one of the healthier ones he's seen in a while.

It seems when they first get to the LFS they are in the Best shape anytime spent there and they melt away. Good Luck with this one that particular color looks great. I would love to have one.

Looking good will c- such a purdy lps and yet such bad colection technique, keeping my fingers crossed.
