Hello,
Has anyone had any luck eliminating GSP from a rock? I have some on a rock and don't want to tear down the structure to remove the rock with the GSP on it.
Well I had this black sea hare that did a wonderful job I bought him to eat algae, but he/she mowed down my GSP instead...., that was a year ago, it has since died, not sure where you can find them, mine was just a coincidence.....other than that...cut and siphon...cut and siphon!
I just tore apart my tank for many reasons including wanting to do a better aquascape and needing to drill the floor to plumb to the basement but the final kick in the butt I needed to finally start the project was that my gsp got too close to my favorite sps. I took a hammer and chisel to the rocks the gsp was on and it's gone for good.
Prior to this... what I found worked for smaller patches of it was to make a 2part putty pancake and completely cover it. Yesterday when I was ridding it from my rocks I pulled off one of my prior putty pancakes and it was pure live rock underneath, no gsp. I'm not sure how long it takes to work but I had put that putty over it about 3 months ago.
