elos suncolor evo

This particular suncolor does not have the dimming of the moonlights but it can be added and they have the capability. As with our planet II the leds are dimmable and you can connect a small interface that installs inside the fixture and then connects to our Biotopus II controller and then it will do the lunar cycle. Keep in mind that the suncolor evo is a hand made light made specifically for each customer so a customer can order what he/she chooses. We have even done evo's in wood to match a customers cabinet, made "slave" units to daisychain off of a evo with a controller, many different finishes, different wattage, etc.

i spent the day at home today...its cool watching the tanks colors change throughout the day. i was at my desk for sunrise. went to the gym, lunch, check back in around noon at saw that it was getting full blast no filters, 10K is new for me, not used to light with no blue; i expect my growth to take off now...that went on for four hours. it was in evening mode when i was was showering my two sons and putting them down for the night. and now the moons are on.

is this the future of metal halide lighting? i think so. led will be the alternative.

its the next logical step in reef lighting. we have the sun in the form of the bulb. bulb technology is probably at its zenith. so now that bulb just needs to be regulated/filtered as to mimic the suns path thru the sky, i.e. the effect the atmosphere has on the suns rays.

I agree with you on LED being the future of lighting.
But putting a filter in front of a lamp is some of the oldest tech.

agreed. filter tech is old tech. but i am talking about reef lighting technology and how it has only recently become high tech through the use of LED's and computer controlled filter plates for mh.
