Emaco GP order - good product?

I am going to be doing some re-aquascaping.

I'm considering ordering some Emaco GP concrete, which is reputedly the BASF version of the thorite (no longer produced). This is the type that sets after about 15 min and can cure underwater. Is also not supposed to leach into the tank or increase alkalinity.

It's about $40-50 per 50 lb bag plus shipping online. It is not available in stock locally to my knowledge. A quote from the local Emaco distributor was $49.50 plus about $25 shipping. If folks are interested, I am willing to try to split a bag and/or do a group order, which can be distributed at the upcoming meeting at ARC.

If anyone has experience w/ it would also like to hear, particularly if there were any ill effects on water chemistry. Or if there are better alternatives...

FWIW I used quickcrete hydraulic cement from lowes in my tank. I had read of several others using it without a problem before trying it myself, and after a year I havent had any issues

Thanks for the tip! I just found a few threads on the quikrete hydraulic. Seems like this works pretty well for bonding (and making rock). Plus HD stocks here for about $25 for a 5g bucket.
I think I'll hold off on the Emaco for now then.
